Quality Processes

Fully documented quality control processes and procedures form an integral part of the ISO-certified Quality Management System of Saudi Readymix. In particular, the Company is proud of its reputation for the most stringent testing programs employed in the industry. Testing and related responsibilities are handled by a number of laboratories at different levels in the organization.

Local Laboratories

Every Saudi Readymix fixed commercial outlet and on-site batching facility has its own testing laboratory, fully equipped and staffed to conduct a range of routine tests in line with the company’s internationally-approved standard testing program. These local laboratories report to their respective regional/area laboratory.

Area Laboratories

These are located at the main commercial station in each of the Company’s regional operating areas in the Kingdom. As well as providing extended range testing, they undertake statistical analysis of local test results, issue monthly reports for the Company’s management information system (MIS), and render technical assistance to the local commercial station and on-site batching plants. They report to the central laboratory.

Central Laboratory

Based at Dammam and directed by the Company’s Technical Manager, the central laboratory is the administrative authority for the entire Saudi Readymix inspection and testing program. Responsibilities include the calibration of testing and measuring equipment, qualification and selection of raw material sources, updating of technical libraries, and the technical training and education conducted by the company’s ACI certified technical experts. The central laboratory also specializes in the development of new products for special applications, and the evaluation of newly-introduced materials.

Independent Testing

In order to comply with the requirements of certain specifying authorities, and to provide a comparative assessment of the Company’s own testing accuracy, Saudi Readymix employs the services of independent test agencies on a regular basis. Their findings and test results are made available to customers and consultants on request.
