Saudi Readymix Signs Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Saudi Sign Language Association (SSLA)

SSLA aims to better the services provided to hearing aid strategically within Saudi Arabia

Dec 2019: Saudi Readymix has recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the Saudi Sign Language Association (SSLA). The cooperation agreement between Saudi Readymix and Saudi Sign Language Association aims to support many initiatives set by the association that aims to better the services provided to sign language community strategically. Saudi Sign Language Association is one of the first hearing aid associations in the region, with focus to increase number of sign language translators within the government and private sector to engagge better with people with hearing aid, and support to their needs within sociaty.

Chairman of the board of Saudi Readymix Mr. Rami Alturki said: “The region is lacking enough translators to serve people with hearing aid disability, the Saudi Sign Language Association has crossed amazing milestones to increase the number of translators within Saudi Arabia. The MoU signed today with the Saudi Sign Language Association is a landmark that will demonstrate our efforts to reach our community, to give back to our brothers and sisters.”

It is worth to note that Saudi Readymix has been the first private sector company that signs an MOU with the Saudi Sign Language Association. The Memorandum of Understanding paves the way for a great future where people with a hearing aid can be more independent within society.
